Jenny Hughes (researcher and training expert from Pontydysgu) discusses the development of the EU-funded TACCLE projects. In the first video Jenny talks of the development of the first TACCLE project that produced the widely circulated TACCLE handbook.

Jenny tells of the dynamic phase of web technologies during which the first TACCLE project was launched. The project focused on supporting teachers to prepare user-generated content in education. This task was prepared by studying the everyday life needs of teachers in using web. In this context she discusses the success factors that made the TACCLE handbook popular among teachers. In the concluding part Jenny discusses the gaps in pedagogic know-how that were identified at the end of the project during the TACCLE courses.

In particular the difficulties of subject teachers were taken up in the preparation of the follow-up project. To be continued …
